Claris FileMaker SSL certification
ALL CLARIS FILEMAKER DATA SECURED OVER THE LINE
In view of data breach legislation and data protection obligations, we want to help our customers keep their Claris FileMaker data as secure as possible.
That is why we recommend installing an SSL certificate on the Claris FileMaker server.
This SSL certificate secures the data between the Claris FileMaker server and the Claris FileMaker workstations. If this connection is not secured with SSL, you will receive non-secure connection notifications (which most users always click away). After installing an SSL certificate, when you connect to the Claris FileMaker files, you will see a green padlock in the top right corner indicating that the data is secure. The data between the Claris FileMaker server and any Claris FileMaker webdirect users is also secure.

SSL for Claris FileMaker Server
SSL Certificate per year €199 (max. 1 year per purchase)
This certificate (True BusinessID/COMODO SSL Certificate) offers 256-bit SSL encryption and requires 1 subdomain (possibly Organization Validation).
SSL installation in FMS €224 (2 hours of work).
Any additional costs incurred for DNS or TTL changes, communication with the provider regarding company checks, etc. will be charged. A (sub)domain is required for the SSL certificate.
